註︰一九三八年夏，日寇壓境華南，畫家避兵香澥，本幅即是時所寫。畫題「錦江暮靄」，或廣東丹霞山錦江勝景，其山絕壁崚嶒，層礫侵蝕而呈奇姿，隔江罾棚排列，暮色四合，水天互映。其筆墨細緻傳神，暈染尤見功力，情景交融，攝漁村日暮之閑致，此亦畫家於離亂中之喘息空間矣！
